Job Description
Offstream is looking for a talented software engineer to join our growing engineering team. The role will be will be full stack, but likely focused on the front end of the application for the first ~6 months of the job. You will be the 3rd engineer to join the engineering team (currently 2 senior engineers + co-founder/CTO) and have a great opportunity to learn from software engineering experts while also having a large impact on the Offstream product. What you will do
- Collaborate with the engineering team and other team members to understand product requirements and come up with effective technical solutions to build a great product for our customers
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning/retrospectives
- Mentor and share knowledge with other engineers as the team grows
What you will bring

- 0-1+ years of software engineering experience, with at least some professional software experience as an intern, preferably at early stage startups
- Some familiarity with Offstream's tech stack (Typescript, Next.js, GraphQL, and postgresql) and general web application development best practices
- Experience with relational databases
- Some interest in product + design
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
- Passion for startups
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
What it’s like to work as an engineer at Offstream
- We work in two week sprints and use all of the standard tooling (github, Asana, Slack, etc…)
- We have a culture of blameless incidents. No engineer is perfect. Sometimes mistakes are made, bugs go into production, and users experience crashes. Rather than pointing fingers, we fix mistakes, and then strive to build processes that prevent similar errors from cropping up in the future
